Dreamblade Repainted

Hundvig Fezian is not a real big fan of pre-painted minis, and he positively despises randomly-packed "collectable" ones - so why is he writing this article?

Come celebrate a great group of wargamers. I give three cheers for the jolly tars of the Lion's Den.

Cool! I live just over in Lawrence, KS. and cast my own 54s as well as collect some plastics. Where do you get your bonsai pots? I've been looking for a local source for my collection.

Hello neighbor,
I get bonsai pots from Heartland Nursery in south Kansas City and at Soil Service Nursery at 67th +/- on Troost Ave.

Have you got any pictures of your collection? Trees and Toy soldiers?

Regards,
Ken

Looks like great fun, and it appears a the shrimp boil was quite popular as well.

A great idea to finish off the gaming day!

Thanks for sharing.

Ken,
Great work. So many times people forsake the opportunity to throw an event to just game. Food, refreshments, and pleasurable company turn a good game into a festive soiree. My crew salutes you on this magnificent shin-dig and hope we can game together again soon.

Congratulations!

Yes many of us share pictures of magnificent wargame tables etc; but sometimes it's good to see more simple and fun battles!

It remembers me one of my first pirate battles. We already had nice miniatures ships and (WF) pirates/soldiers; but it was indoors. All indoors. On the floor in the house of a friend.

I had a ship. I sailed into the living room. I met two enemy ships there. We fought hard. I tried to sail away, they went after me into the corridor. I thought I could sail to safety to the kitchen, but they blocked me. I had to sail further, and my ship had not choice but enter the WC. There I was cornered. And sunk :(

But I still thank the friend who (although he attacked and sunk my ship) managed to keep his dog, cat, and children, away from this horrific battle (not mentioning his wife, we must thank her too, she knew and accepted our hobby).

Patrice you got sunk in the head? (Bathroom)
That is no way for a pirate to die….

Great story!
