I don't see what the big deal is, I mean if you want beautifully painted figures on great bases, that are a joy to look at and game with I guess they are okay.
Seriously though, beautifully done, I can only imagine how the entire army will look when you are finished. |

are they such a dark blue that they look black , or are they painted black ?

Thanks Gents, you are too kind. idontbelieveit – I agree Calpe are the best along with Front Rank, a real joy to paint. 14Bore – The next unit is two batteries of 12 lb artillery. ernieR – They are painted with Liquitex medium body Prussian blue, with a highlight of Prussian Blue and a light blue mixed. In most classic artwork Prussian blue is very dark so I tried to get that right. The sculpts are quite varied and you can mix and match for a real nice look. Peter is an amazing sculptor. cavcrazy – Thus far I have painted:
1st Silesian Infantry Regiment 3 battalions
15th Reserve Infantry regiment 3 battalions
1st and 2nd Silesian Landwehr regiments 6 battalions
5 Landwehr cavalry regiments
3 Hussar regiments
2 batteries of 6 lb artillery
1 corp commander
4 divisional commanders
4 skirmish stands of Silesian Riflemen
