Good idea about setting up the tabletop beforehand. It will be interesting to see who ends up fighting on it, and their strengths

Caliban, I like too. Adding another dimension to the setting up of campaign terrain: It allows, having seen the terrain, the players to try to bring about a battle with a particular force – thinking "I'm not going to get better terrain than that for that force." Of course this works because the campaign I'm running has plenty of built in fog of war (being based on an exceptionally good board game) that never quite allows the players to pre-plan too much. |
