Following my earlier post more than year ago about accepting sculpting commissions again TMP link I received in a very short space of time a wide range of enquiries about sculpting all sorts of subjects in different sizes/scales worked to wildly differing budgets.

So whilst the proper day job side of miniature arts and crafts has kept me busy, it's been good to get back to sculpting a few gaming figures for customers who, compared to my museum/corporate/advertising/TV/Film clients, are for more organised and generally have realistic attitudes about the work/time involved in producing models/miniatures (this past year I've supplied work for Michael Fassbenders latest movie whereby I wasn't supplied with the signed off brief detailing what they wanted making until three weeks after the finished work was theoretically needed on set leading to more stressful overnighters and a change of shooting schedule. I also lost about two weeks to lengthy negotiations for a major museum/archaeology project to commemorate a one thousand year anniversary, a project which ultimately fell through because… and I quote… "they hadn't had enough notice to raise the funds to pay for the exhibition")

Nevertheless to get back to my point, some of these gaming figure commissions have been purely one off vanity projects for private individuals, others the start of what may grow to be extensive product ranges sculpted for businesses intent on casting and marketing these figures. This work has covered fantasy, sci-fi, historic, steam punk and pulp figures from 10mm scale up to a large 60mm tall monster, and so I though I'd paste here a limited few photos of sculpts that have passed across my workbench since posting here a year or more ago looking for a few interesting commissions.

Anyway, I'm currently being messed about again whereby I have a lot of projects on my book I'm supposed to be part way through but which I can't actually start yet as I'm still waiting on corporate clients to make their minds up what is they are actually paying me to do other than twiddle my thumbs… In essence until others get their act together I've got that rare commodity of a bit of spare time on my hands so may actually be able to take on gaming sculpts again and turn these around reasonably quickly.

Hope you like what you see, and if you think you've got an interesting sculpting commission to keep me busy get in touch via aidan@aidan-campbell.co.uk or my web site aidan-campbell.co.uk

Cheers

Aidan
