Try olive drab or olive green and mix with orange as a place to start.

John,
Try using "My Studio" Chocolate Brown as the base, then wash it with olive drab. Use "My Studio" tan for the jackets, washed with the Chocolate Brown.

John,
Mine are right out of the bottle. But I always wash and drybrush on top of base coat.

It may help that "olive" colors are just black and yellow. So unlike dark greens (curse you, German helmets!), olives are pretty easy to mix reliably.

Keep in mind that there were several different issues of uniforms worn by US soldiers during the war. Some were much more green than others. The "brown" pants were the wool ones and were usually referred to as 'mustard' in color and even they had a bit of green in them. I'd suggest checking out some reeanctment websites and reenactlment suppliers to get a better idea of the colors.
