We want to print on clear rigid vinyl (or other clear material) to make tokens for board games. There are dozens of applications, but the bottom line is we need coated rigid vinyl to be sent through our indigo printers. Our normal plastic supplier has these sheets as thick as 24 mil, but only in "white". To get clear 24mil rigid vinyl, they need a minimum order of 300,000 sheets (approx $100,000 USD) to create a batch.
Any suggestions on other places we can look?

Ask your supplier if anyone else uses that in similar sizes. Maybe you can buy their scrap or piggy back an order. I used to be involved in recycling and purchasing plastic sheet, and we were a small user, comparatively speaking.
Recycling gives you brownie points, but it is easiest with "pure" products. |

This minimum order size exists because they don't have anyone else using it at this size. Otherwise they would already be producing it and the minimum wouldn't be a problem. |

Do you need vinyl? Would PET or polystyrene work? |

I believe any clear plastic could work, we've just used rigid vinyl in the past and it seems to be predominant. |

Dear Arclight Having converted 24mil to 0.6mm, did a quick bit of googling: This one is pill packets but they might tell where they get it
link These sell o.6mm PVC sheet by the ton, admittedly comes from china but don't have to buy $100 USDk of product, starts with minimum of 1 ton.
