Very nice, but our own tank museum at Bovington is hard to beat.

Makes you wonder if the British were actually there. Of 35 pictures, only two of British equipment!

Yes, the Brits most definitely were there. They were guarding the left flank of the Yank advance.

Just kidding! I've seen this topic come up before and watched it devolve into mayhem. I'll dive deep down into my foxhole now and await return fire.

By the way, nice link and photos.

I'm with Zoneofcontrol on this one. Time to cower under the table and keep my head down!

I was there during the week of the 70th anniversery. See all those pics they put up, yeah thats pretty much it exhibit wise.*
Bovington blows it out of the water.
We'd have gone to the Musée des Blindés to compare it too but it was about 6 hours away, so didn't

*Also, theres a really weird Hitler Youth mannaquin thats clearly a female head on a male body. Odd.

We passed by this last year on the way to Omaha Beach on a tour, don't believe it was open then. This is located back behind Omaha hence the heavy US emphasis. Further down the coast at Arromanches is a D-day museum which is very heavily Commonwealth oriented.

Also features my brothers and my dad, who lives just down the road (an old tanker) next to a Comet, which he used to command :)

They have a rare running King Tiger, which I've seen in action, but my favourite is the scooter with the built-in bazooka!
