…of the Galaxy Trailer.

"Thus far Guardians of the Galaxy trailers have been fairly goofy affairs that boiled down to one-liners, Chris Pratt's abs, and "Hooked on a Feeling." That was all well and good—really good, actually—but the latest international clip goes for a more serious tone—and straight for the action. It also lets Gamora (Zoe Saldana) finally speak.

Starting with Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Pratt) like the trailers before it, it immediately flashes to the Guardians assembling and Nova Prime Rael (Glenn Close) saying "are you telling me the fate of 12 billion people is in the hands of a thief, two thugs, a murderer, and a maniac?" Same thing she said in the last trailer but it seems more ominous without the "Spirit in the Sky" soundtrack.

Anyway, while this trailer seems slightly less wacky than previous ones—Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) builds a bomb, but still jokes about it—it does open up the floor for Gamora to say something, which she hasn't done in any previous clip that I can recall. Of course she's just asking Star-Lord about himself, but at least she got a line! (My fellow WIRED writer Graeme McMillan made another good point about her appearance this morning as well, "I have some feelings about Zoe Saldana being reduced from ‘murderer' to ‘love interest' in these trailers, though. … She's super deadly—but she gets topless and looks longingly at the man so it's OK. Plus catfight with the blue chick [Karen Gillan's Nebula]." It's possible her awesomeness is being saved for the full feature, but still.)…"

The whole article is only one more paragraph, but still . . . someone wrote four paragraphs about a trailer for a movie. And it isn't even the first trailer.

When it's that good, yeah. Heck, people post 20-minute videos on YouTube dissecting every nuance of trailers (Godzilla) so a few paragraphs is nothing.

Love the giant space-skull.

But, man, I wouldn't have known that was Karen Gillan/Amy Pond if it hadn't been pointed out.
