You know …. you get some minis in a box, then you need to send some to someone else. Oh, come on. You know you never throw them out and get new ones!

-1) I don't ship minis
0) None! I accuse others of being cheap!
1) Once
2) A couple of times
3) Until it becomes as soft as a mailer envelope
4) I peeled back the layers and found out I started this one
5) I think the last one I used is only a shell of tape in the shape of a box now
X) I make my own by reusing other cardboard
!) I make my own by reusing depleted uranium
?) What's a shipping box?

I tend to use the USPS boxes and if I get too excited opening them they're tough to reuse.

As often as I can.

0 – I always ship USPS Priority Mail and use the free boxes.

After receiving ? Once ! After that I don't have it anymore…

Actually, this poll was prompted by the fact that today my wife is sending out a box that I had sent out before (had our return address under a couple of other labels) that I just received from someone that I have never sent minis to…

I always ship USPS Priority Mail and use the free boxes.

… and it was a small USPS PriMail box!

Circle of Life. What comes around goes around. [Insert platitude here.]

yea--I reuse when I can. the priority usps boxes are provided but wouldn't call it free since you pay priority postage when sending.

Lots. Rest assured, any dealer that has shipped me anything (Non- Priority) in the last ten years has had his box (and most padded envelopes) go right back out as Ebay lots.
"Official" Priority boxes are almost always recycled. It's not often worth the cost upgrade, and they're too readily available to bother keeping old one around just in case.

The Beast Rampant16 Jun 2014 2:45 p.m. PST

How I miss the old days when Priority was an almost inconsequential upgrade from Parcel or 1st Class. I shipped EVERYTHING in those little VHS-size boxes!

fox news tea party16 Jun 2014 4:42 p.m. PST

Yep, I keep a stash of leftovers. My wife even saves appropriate sized boxes for me that she comes across :)

I reuse packaging boxes/envelopes. Only once because once i have sent them out they dont come back to be reused again.
I gingerly opened a shipping package a few weeks ago when my mother was here. I got such a look of how i opened the box. Then the stare i got for the reason i told her why i opened it the way i do so i could reuse it. Funny as she was the one that taught me to waste not want not and to be frugal. :-)

OK. How about this. If you get one that has obviously already been reused, will you re-reuse it?

And, as I mentioned, I just had one come back to me from someone I didn't send it to.

Joes Shop Supporting Member of TMP17 Jun 2014 6:18 a.m. PST

Yes. As long as it is in good shape it will be 're-used.

What's really funny is the couple of times I'll get a box from someone here on TMP or Bartertown, only to find it's a re-used box that I had sent them years earlier!

Patrick Sexton Supporting Member of TMP17 Jun 2014 1:35 p.m. PST

None, they go into the recycling bin.

Rogzombie Fezian17 Jun 2014 4:13 p.m. PST

#3. As long as it is sturdy I will use it. I actually have a bath tub full of boxes right now.

So … how often and where do you bathe? :)

Rogzombie Fezian18 Jun 2014 10:01 a.m. PST

For some reason I have 3 tubs in my 70 foot trailer. I'm using the big room for storage. ;)
