First of all
SPOILER . . . . . . . . . . . . . Well
that sucked. Was REALLY hoping, and frankly, expecting to meet Lady Stoneheart tonight. I am hopeful they will have her in next season, seems like a major thing to omit. Any word on her absence I haven't heard about? |

She made a fine cliffhanger for Book 4, that's for sure! |

They also did not put in the bitter break between Jaime and Tyrion. Just as well on that one. |

Can you elaborate more on the break up between Jamie & Tyrion? |
Winston Smith | 15 Jun 2014 8:55 p.m. PST |
Since it was just in the books and cannot be an HBO spoiler
. Jaime admitted that Tyrion's first love Tysha was really not a (hoar) but an innocent girl who really did love him. The whole story was shared with Bronn and Shae in the first season with Tyrion believing that it was a setup with Jaime hiring the . Pressure from Tywin and all that. Complicated and messy. They left out the admission. |

Yeah, thought Stoneheart was going to show up instead of the Hound. Oh well, good fight. |

As Lady Stoneheart is one of my less favourite characters -and now she is playing a terrorist in the last season of 24!- I, for one, don't feel dissapointed! |

Lady Stoneheart IS a terrorist. |

At least they shut her annoying voice off ;p |

I assumed that Ser Thorne would succumb to his wounds, leaving Jon up for class president. Guess well have to wait for that one. And, has anyone seen Ghost since the battle? I guess we all just assume he is alive. I didn't think Aria was going to hang The Hound out to dry (pretty much literally) like in the book. But then my predictions are something like 1 for ten. I DID figure they would leave out the Lannisters brothers ugly parting when I realized Tyrion didn't have the goods on Cersei to use against Jamie (well, except for Lancel, but that's not really enough ammo). More K.I.S.S., but that's fine. Tyrion has enough problems. |

All I could think of last night was "what a way to go, when you are going" I guess certain folks are not "privy" to certain accomodations. I could go on. I hope that it will make for a good start for next season. Now where is Tango with his Wired review? |

Apparently Lady Stoneheart was "never on the docket" for this season at all. link Check for news of "joyful reunions of old friends" when they start filming Season 5 at the end of July. I can see them hiding the news of a contract re-signing just to be perverse. |

Its possible we will never see Lady Stoneheart (except in our mind's eye theater or our gaming tables). Actress may not wish to commit to a "bit" part of a none speaking zombie. Had hoped Cold Hands would appear belately to rescue Bran at the Three Eyed Crows weir wood tree. Him calling down the crows on a bunch of wights would have been far better than the Jason and the Argonaurts skeleton warriors (wights need their flesh to function). Still a good episode (well except for "children of the forest" fire balls). Would have been nice to have animated Stannis' knights attacking in wedge rather than Napolenoic lines. In contrast with the books both the armorour and "military" advisors for the serias are pretty bad. Though a deviation from the books the Hound v. Brienne matched pair was just too good to pass up at least for TV. Given their current importance to HBO, show runners should insist on bigger budget. TomT |

Would have been nice to have animated Stannis' knights attacking in wedge rather than Napolenoic lines Agreed. I would have settled for a little less perfection in their symmetrical lines. I doubt you'd get that even on a parade ground. I was just glad to see Ciarán Hinds again. He was so absent this season I was getting concerned. He's a great actor. Loved him in Rome. |
