I think these were some of the last toys to shoot a spring loaded projectile until some kid decided to launch one into his eye/throat or rob a bank and ruin it for the rest of us. |

This is a model kit of the raider, not the toy. The toy ones did launch darts at one point (so did the Viper – it had a nose mounted tube) until a child reportedly shot a dart into his own mouth and choked to death on it. This meant the death of many dart launching toys at the time, even the prototype boba-fett SW figure had an actual dart launcher on it. One of my mates in primary school had one of these models. It was huge. |
