If a game is getting supplements how do you prefer them? How do you feel about the following? *Grab bags of various optional rules, expansions and bits that couldn't fit in the original game but might be nice to have. *Covers a single theater, army, campaign or similar topic. *Provides updated versions of rules from the main book, corrections and so on. (One and a half edition) *Scenarios to play through but not a lot of new rules material. *New OOB's, vehicles and stats Anything else?

I always feel the main rules should have all the rules for playing the game. Supplements should IMO contain special rules for specific situations or things outside the scope of normal games, whose inclusion in the main rules would make them overcomplex for play. |

I think the grab bag of optional rules would be fine. Inevitably, somebody will decide your Franco-Prussian War rules are incredible, and they can modify them for use them for WWII. Of course, this won't happen until the rules have been out a while, so it won't have an opportunity to go in the original book. Grelber |

I prefer them FREE, once I've paid the money for the core rule set. |

*Scenarios to play through but not a lot of new rules material. I do not play British Grenadier, but I love the scenario books. They are very well done, and will work for any rules set out there. Any rules changes are irrelevant to me. |

Non existant. They only ruin the game and if you put them in they will show up in every game. Same way if you have a 17" columbiad in the American Civil War, it will find its way into every game. |

I absolutely despise "edition one and a half" type supplements. Maybe it is the scars from White Dwarf in the Eighties and Squad Leader with the "here is a new set of rules to replace the new rules we gave you last time". I don't mind theatre/ campaign focused supplements. If I have no interest in for example Bongolesia's Drive to the Desert in '75 I just don't buy that supplement. I love scenario packs and orders of battle. Yes, this is information I could, and do, research for myself, but it is handy not to have to. |

I do not play British Grenadier, but I love the scenario books. They are very well done, and will work for any rules set out there. Same for the GdB scenario books – they are great. |
