With the release of our latest supplement Colonial Battlefleet: Star's Reach, a few of you on here had asked if we were going to make an all-in-one bundle available. Just wanted to let you guys know that Colonial Battlefleet: The Complete Collection has been posted and is available for sale at a substantial discount from buying each book separately. You can pick it up here: link |

Nice bundle. I'm only missing Star's Reach, which I should pick up when I have the spare scratch. I need to get my Star Blazers on! |

Same here I guess I have a question if I bought the full package to suport steel dreadnaught would I be able to "gift" Colonial Battle Fleet and Man Vs. Machine to a friend? |

I got them all. Now to work on seeing if I can make them work in the Traveller universe |

I've been interested in these rules for a while, but I'm hesitant to lay out $20 USD on a ruleset that I know nothing about. Even if others like it, I may have it (and vice versa). Is there a free lite version available so I can look at the mechanics? |

Are there any reviews about for these rules? |

Do a TMP search on "colonial battlefleet". A bunch of topics will come up including a review from 2011. |

Optional Field, if you want a mechanics overview, you can visit our website here: steeldreadnoughtgames.com Then click on Colonial Battlefleet on the right. Then click on "I want crunchy details!" towards the bottom of the page. |

@optional field and sean68333 Do a TMP search on "colonial battlefleet". A bunch of topics will come up including a review from 2011. Heck of lot of topics, many if not most links to the company's forum. "I want crunchy details!" just didn't seem detailed enough. Tim White announced his comparison of various systems on this forum, but I'll give the link to the series of articles. Don't agree with all points about the games I DO know, but found it a better place to start, and Tim seems a friend of CBF. link Doug |

Actually I think Tim is a Full Thrust fan. CBF has just earned some grudging respect from him from what I can tell. LOL |

No, no, he's a long time FT player, along with other sets, but I'm the fanboy. Doug |

I love all the space games – just some of them are better for certain genres then others. Also, as stated in that series of articles, I was only covering the Base CBF book. If at some point there is a CBF compendium bringing in all the design options from its supplements together (along with an excel design sheet), the number of design options will really go up significantly. I actually have not played that much FT. I was a rapid SFB player when FT came out and fell out of space ship gaming for years until getting back into it with CBF a few years ago. CBF was lots of fun – but we wanted to run a campaign and one guy HAD to be eldar (from BFG). Its difficult to pull off Eldar in CFB – so we went with Starmada AE instead. SAE was fun, until someone broke the game. Lately I've been playing Squadron Strike (but hard to find opponents) and Firestorm Armada 2. Problem is I always have the itch to pull out my GZG fleets and do up my own ship stats. Very tough to do SS with minis (well with the number of minis I want to play with anyways) and of course FA2 there is no design engine (and the minis are beautiful but HUGE). I think we are either going to play some FT again soon or possibly Starfire. But ya I really want do some more CBF (and just saying "who cares" to Eldar) or somehow convince people to play a stripped down version of Squadron Strike (2d only, no vectored movement, torps and no missiles). Anyway, sorry for going off topic there! Good deal on the bundle. The only reason I won't buy it is because I already own all 3 books. Two things I like about the new setting – reduced shield regeneration rates and lots more fighters!! Also I think some of my buddies will prefer the MP system over the momentum system. |

I actually have not played that much FT. Dopey moi; I blame your occasional cogent comments. ;->= Doug |
