Only of interest to Waterloo buffs, but no harm in sharing. The whole thing was inspired by my third trip to the battlefield this spring. The sunken roads or "hollow ways" are very "Belgian" but, as I have commented elsewhere my model reminds me of Michael Caine's line in A Bridge Too Far. "This bit of the road….this is the wide bit"

Blucher's lads marched through worse than this portrays

Excellent. I can almost hear the creaks of the wagon and wagon wheels, and the clop-clop of the horses' hooves over the low chatter of the troops.

Thanks for this feedback…really appreciated. I did wonder…….anyone any experience of this idea, as follows?

Now it is finished and photographed, you all know how it is. I have a dozen other projects and wonder what to do with it.

Do small museums ever take donations? I was thinking about the Wellington Museum at Waterloo. They have a few dioramas of very variable quality (and age). They might well tell me what to do with it, but it's a freebie.

Without being too specific. Now it is done, where should I stick it?
