The Wargame 2080 online store at wargame2080.com has just launched with 30 products, including these heavy infantry and light tanks:
Wargame 2080 is a brand-new 3D printed miniatures game designed by Daniel Walthall that combines streamlined game mechanics with cutting-edge 3D printing technology to bring you affordable miniatures that are highly customizable. Wargame 2080 models are designed with interchangeable weapons, that are swappable right out of the box, with no glue or magnets required! The starter set is priced at only $65 USD, and during the whole Alpha Testing phase the online store is 20% off! So for a limited time, the starter set is actually $52 USD! |

I actually like these, even if the tanks look a bit weird with the clearly visible caps (which I could work with in any case). Any chance of some scale shots? In particular, I was wondering how they'd look with 15mm minis, but it's not difficult to extrapolate from a scale shot with a bog-standard space marines :) |

Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to finish up the paint job on some of these designs before taking a size comparison picture for you, and here it is:

Nice. Those will go perfectly with 15mm stuff, while the tanks would work well in 20mm as well. You should, in fact, post in the 15mm board. |

Sure, I'll post over there as well then. The designs for Wargame 2080 are a bit smaller than most 28mm games, which is actually explained by the background: The vast majority of units in Wargame 2080 are un-manned vehicles, robots & drones. So because a tank in Wargame2080 does not require a human crew inside, they can be smaller overall. I still want the really heavy units to be fairly large, like the siege tanks/mechs, but in general the designs are compact, which also makes them more affordable. |
