Bout a month to go but let's hear what people are looking for at Historicon…
For me…

Dealer Hall: Figures from Other Worlds (some of the coolest looking figs in recent years.) Anything else that cries "Buy Me."

Wally's: Star Wars RPGs (mainly West End Books.)Any cool looking lead that will sit on my shelf for years til I get around to painting, and Magic the Gathering for the kiddos.

10 mm WW2 and moderns. (Hey, Khurason, hint, hint!)
Fife and Drum in on the shopping list, as are some 15/18 mm Napoleonics.

I wish I could go…

Eric,
Tell me what you need and I will try to pick it up for you. Also need your base order for Bill. Let me know.

At this point while I had thought I was going to buy a lot of buildings for 28 mm pulp or possibly middle east war games I have reassessed and think I will mostly be looking for 6mm modern buildings and terrain, and terrain and buildings for 15 mm science fiction. Other than that I need paint and have my eye on a couple of rule books, Chain of Command, and perhaps Pike and Shotte, and a few 1/58 scale WW II vehicles. Of course no plan survives first contact with the Dealer's room or Walley's Basement.

New SAGA book and some plastic figures – Perry and Fireforge

Early WWII stuff, some moderns

nazrat11 Jun 2014 3:02 p.m. PST

I want more FAA 20mm WW II if they have stock to bring to the con, and more 20mm scenery for both Eastern and Western fronts. More AB models as well!

Apart from those items it'll be "find things that I didn't know I wanted until I saw them" territory. 8)=

Has anyone seen the dealers list yet?

vagamer6311 Jun 2014 11:19 p.m. PST

It doesn't take 20 – 30 minutes to get registered once you reach the registration window!!!

Schogun12 Jun 2014 4:48 a.m. PST

My wish is for more dealers.

Admiral Yi Sun Sin is my Homie12 Jun 2014 5:05 a.m. PST

I go for the gaming, dealers and flea market. I want more of everything. evil grin

Dealers – I'm getting my order list ready for Old Glory. Hopefully Architects of War will have a large selection of Perry Miniatures (doubtful) and terrain (hopeful). Age of Glory and Brigade Games are also on the list. Oh, and DPC for some RSM95 miniatures too. Edit: Wargames Factory will get some of my money if they have the new AWI boxes. I'm a 28mm AWI collector so metals from OG, RSM95 and Perry or plastics like Wargames Factory I'm going to buy if they're on site.

Flea Market – I'm looking for 28mm AWI, terrain, old metal 40K Eldar and Warhammer Wood Elves.

Gaming – I'm hoping to play in the SAGA tournament then in some AWI and WWII games. I may setup a pickup 40K game on Saturday night. Mostly for my son and his friends to play in…OK and me too with my friends. Also, the side effect of watching some neck bearded howlers go ape over a big non-historical game is just too much fun. thumbs up

I am GMing two games…AWI w/ Black Powder and WWII w/ Bolt Action.

My shopping list includes a 15mm Biblical army for MoA,still have not decided which army yet. Would like to pick up some new 28mm AWI cav and always on to look out for new bldgs and other odds and ends.

Last but not least to see my old wargaimg friends and hanging out drinking a beer or two and eating some good food.

Disco Joe12 Jun 2014 6:38 a.m. PST

The new Dead Man's Hand complete Bank Set and the complete Stage Coach Set. The latest Perry WW2 figure sets and the latest CompanyB vehicles and decals. Also if MBA has some new Middle East Buildings.

Bushy Run Battlefield12 Jun 2014 8:16 a.m. PST

I'm going to get some of the North Star F&IW Highlanders. I will only be able to be there for Saturday and Sunday though.

Bowman13 Jun 2014 11:43 a.m. PST

Any one bringing 28mm Late Roman archers to the Flea market?

Bowman14 Jun 2014 7:42 a.m. PST

I also wish Virginia was closer to Canada and that the heat and humidity would abate for the weekend. That's not asking for too much, is it?

See you gents down there.

47Ronin14 Jun 2014 11:58 a.m. PST

Unpainted 25mm/28mm figures for sale will include FIW/AWI (Perry, Foundry, Conquest and Old Glory), ACW (Old Glory), WW1 and WW2. Plus, plenty of Dark Ages and Middle Ages (OG, Renegade and Revenge) for the SAGA crowd.

Painted 25mm/28mm include Alamo Mexicans, Pirates and Wild West figures.

Hope to see you there.

shaneypops15 Jun 2014 8:01 a.m. PST

It's my first time going, I can't wait! I'm torn between planning everything to the last detail, or just going with whatever shiny thing attracts my eye when I see it.

That being said, I really would like to say in the Bolt Action tournament on Friday, but can't find the sign-up info anywhere.

I'm also wishing there's enough stuff to buy there that it's not all gone by the end of day 1!

vonLoudon20 Jun 2014 9:52 a.m. PST

It's almost like Christmas, isn't it? Don't need all that gift wrap and ribbon or Santy Claus!

nazrat22 Jun 2014 8:59 a.m. PST

Shaney-- There's ALWAYS plenty of stuff even by Saturday. Specific items may be gone but I've rarely missed out on getting anything I want. Especially if you do like I do and reserve Thursday as Shopping Day. One thing: if you find something you want buy it then. If you "wait until later" it'll be sure to be gone! 8)=

Greyalexis22 Jun 2014 8:55 p.m. PST

I just wish I could go.

shaneypops23 Jun 2014 3:39 p.m. PST

Thursday will be my shopping day too then, nazrat!

Charlie 1224 Jun 2014 8:53 p.m. PST

Wish I could go, too…

Disco Joe25 Jun 2014 3:26 a.m. PST

I wish they would tell us shortly which dealers will be there.

Goshawk25 Jun 2014 7:35 a.m. PST

The smallish wishlist (28mm WW II, 28mm Old West, SAGA?) is made, but I'm sure to come away with plenty of items not even conceived. This is my second trip to Historicon – the first was quite overwhelming.
Bolt Action tournament on Friday (first time doing anything like it).

Are we there yet?

lanercost200125 Jun 2014 8:40 a.m. PST

Bowman, I'll be selling Arthurian/Later Romans at the Flea Market on Saturday morning. A mix of Old Glory and Gripping Beast. Plenty of archers in the mix.

shaneypops25 Jun 2014 9:04 p.m. PST

Goshawk, I want to sign up for the Bolt Action tournament too – any idea how to do it, or who to contact?

Goshawk26 Jun 2014 2:02 a.m. PST

shaneypops – I just found this article regarding the BA tourneys:

link

Looks like we need to email our list to the judge (his email and tourney guidelines are listed in the article).

Hope we get in…sounds like a limited number of slots are open.

Disco Joe26 Jun 2014 6:19 a.m. PST

Sure why tell anyone who is going to be there when you can suprise them the day the show starts. Not like we want to plan where we want to spend our money.

Goshawk26 Jun 2014 7:17 a.m. PST

Disco Joe – I see you're looking for Company B…I am as well…alternate Sherman turrets, decals, etc. (Yeah I could order them but where's the challenge?) if you've attended in the past, do smaller outfits like Co. B show up?

And yeah, it seems odd that the vendors aren't posted already.

Disco Joe26 Jun 2014 8:11 a.m. PST

Goshawk, Brigade Games does carry CompanyB but sometimes they are out of stock of particular items. I would check with them or email Lon to find out if he has what you are looking for and to put it aside for you. Usually Bruce from CompanyB attends but not as a vendor but works with Lon at Brigade Games so if Lon doesn't have an item contact Bruce from CompanyB and ask him to bring it with him. Both are fine to work with and have provided things for me in the past.
