link an update on the ice age mammals kickstarter: all the figures will be hand-sculpted (they added a work in progress pic of the cave lion sculpt). I will be writing the Doggerland skirmish rules, based on Song of Blades and Heroes, for the company doing this kickstarter (http://www.adwgames.com/). The rules will come with a set of 15mm miniatures (they went for 15mm because they plan to produce some massive monsters and scenery, you can see a WIP castle on their site, and there was a fort pic on The Miniatures page a while ago). The setting is very intriguing – not your usual Tolkien derivative – and this group of creators has been developing it for over 25 years. If you are interested in the massive ice age animals, please give this Kickstarter a look. They are roughly midway to being funded and there are still 17 days to go. Thanks! Andrea |

Looks interesting. Will certainly keep an eye on the 15mm range. Thanks for sharing and best of luck to their kickstarter campaign. |

The figures in the kickstarter are 28mm, but a couple are meant to represent juvenile beasts -- so I guess they won't be too big to represent grown animals in 15mm. |

I looked at them earlier today but I'm afraid I think that they are horrible Disneyfied efforts even by fantasy standards. |

I wonder how close these would fit (sizewise) with Flytrap's "Caveman vs. Wild" figures? link |

Ooh, these look like they'll work great as fierce predators in chibi games with Impact Miniatures and Soda Pop Miniatures chibi adventurers! |

Cave bear has been unlocked. Game stats for all these creatures for Song of Blades and Heroes will be found in the Band of Gnomes skirmish game (based on SOBH) that I'll be writing for ADWGames. To learn more, see the kickstarter update #49 here link |

The kickstarter has exploded and it's a very good deal for anyone even remotely interested in the figures.Even at the entry pledge of $15 USD, you'll get 4 large size resin minis. A few hours to go and they are well over funding (around $14.00 USD as I type this). |
