Hello

To all those fans of WW1 and Peter Pig figures.

A while back I posted a message on the board asking when would Peter Pig finally introduce late war French?

The Early war French and Germans have been redesigned, but hey where are the French of VERDUN?

I bought the Square Bashing Rules when Salute used to be held at kensington Town hall and the rules did say every nation would eventually be covered..well hey I am still waiting for the French In the Adrian Helmet to make the western front more complete with perhaps some Doughboys aswell and Anzacs AND turks for the desert/Gallipoli campaigns…please support this post if you feel the same…

I'd like to see some (particularly a 37mm gun and crew). You could use the 1940 French in the PBI WW2 range for most of the infantry you need.

I would like to see late war French.

Thanks for your support but its the rolled horse shoe blanket roll look and long bayonet thats needed. I am sure it would not require to much adaptation to make a set of WW1 late French??

Some M1915 Chauchat light machine gunners and some casualty figures/trench raiders etc and a few cavalry in the Adrian helmet.

Some In the tunic summer wear kit..plus depending they could also be used for WW1 italians?

plus they need to look as if they are charging another trench…

Keep it flowing WW1 fANS ..we do not want the French of Dunkirk but the French that fought at Verdun in 1916..Please so as we can also us them as late war Belgians etc etc

Thanks men. They are on the drawing board for July. At the moment I am working on AWI French and a PBI game board for shows etc.

Thanks for the patience.
Hope the figures will be worth the wait

Oh, yes. Late Great War French for me too.

Martin, what shows are you thinking of for the new PBI game board? Given colours cancellation are you planning a replacement?

Also everyone don't forget to put your money where your mouth is if we get the French, I remember how loud everyone shouted for XIV army…mind you XIV are great figures so those who didn't buy them are missing out

re PBI
The loss of colours is really sad because we enjoyed that show a lot. It was very friendly toward participation games. The next "participation friendly" show we are attending will be SELWG. They are very supportive of participation. The PBI game will be there and the rules(hopefully??)

I'd like to see the British range finished off, with rifle grenadiers and bombers. Plus a few Stokes Mortars.

And since you have such a fantastic range of WWI, adding East Africa and finishing the Middle East aspects of it shouldn't be too bad!

I would like to see a 37mm Infantry Gun and crew.

Yes, this too for me.

Colonel Bogey08 Jun 2014 3:50 p.m. PST

Yep – me too, please!

Johny Boy09 Jun 2014 10:42 a.m. PST

I'm in for French, so another vote and a huge appeal for a range expansion into East Africa and Palestine .

Mallen09 Jun 2014 11:39 a.m. PST

I am jumping into this big time and would like to see the late war French as well.

Offering packs of rifle grenadiers (Minifigs makes the only available 15mm late war fig) would help lots of people finish their armies more completely and accurately. Could I suggest for each belligerent:

A single pack, three different poses of rifle grenadiers, perhaps one kneeling firing, one advancing, one carrying extra grenades. My interest is 1916-18 Brits and Huns. But if you did two packs of each, one early and the other later war (perhaps modifications of existing figures) and bring them all out at once (Brit, Hun, and French) that would take care of the whole war on the Western Front. Sure would be nice!

Put it up on Kickstarter Martin and I will throw money at you for French, Turks & Anzacs.

I want world war one French late war from the WW1 Peter Pig 15mmm range…as well…

admiraldecourson10 Jun 2014 11:43 a.m. PST

I started having always being interested in World War One(The Great War) with the lovely Airfix figures using my Mums grey cotton for barbed wire twigs from the local park etc.

Peter Pig got me with their early war Belgians which I started off with and then aquired some early war Germans and Brits.

I think that as with any period to have a major power missing in regards the French in this instance in "horizon Blue" is a foe missing for both the early war and late war Germans from the collection.

Of Course I could go on and request the appearance of Turks and the Anzacs, but for now the Late war French will suffice.

Doing the rifle grenadiers now….
