Those look like buildings from Colonial Steamboat Company – hand made from mounting board. Excellent looking game! |

Hi there, the buildings are indeed the Colonial Steamboat Company models! – I put a link to them at the bottom of the blog post! PS: Thanks for all the kind comments! – I always love playing in my friend Lawrence's lovely terrain! |

What are you using for the ground surface? I quite like it. |

Sadly, this is no longer available. My friend Lawrence got it from someone who was using the same leather that old buses used to use. Its lovely to play on, and very atmospheric! |

I have a 4 x 8 sheet of similar grey leather upholstery I picked up at a fabric store. I originally got it for urban warfare games for 40K and Science Fiction urban battles. Upon seeing this I am going to get a gallon of desert color paint mixed up at the local Home Depot and dry brush the heck out of that section of material. Nice stuff. |

Whitemanticore. The mats are actually painted with three tones. Chocolate brown, sand, and cream. I believe that is why they look so good, and why the buildings, which are sand and cream, blend so well. Thanks to all for the appreciative comments. |
