I don't know of you have already seem it, but this month's book vote at Osprey has the option of multiple volumes on the Scandinavian armies of the Napoleonic Wars:

Let's hope the WW2/modern titles don't win this one.

Thanks for the heads up : MAA Scottish and Welsh Wars (Multiple Volume set) duly voted for wink

(Scandinavian napoleonics would have been my second choice…)

I have a hard backed Osprey book called Napoleon's Cavalry.

Glengarry506 Jun 2014 3:04 p.m. PST

I voted for the Scandinavians! Although I'd like to see several of the others as well!

Edwulf06 Jun 2014 3:52 p.m. PST

Scandanavians!

Another vote for the Scandinavians, although I would be happy with more on the Koreans through the centuries, and the Scottish and Welsh wars.

Checking on how the voting has gone so far, it looks to very close between all the choices.

I certainly like to see a volume on the Koreans of the Imjim War

Glengarry506 Jun 2014 5:13 p.m. PST

I also have a hardcover Osprey book called Napoleon's Cavalry! I wonder if it's the same one?

It is all the early Osprey books on French Cavalry combined in a hard back. So you get cuirassiers and carabiners, dragoons and lancers, chasseurs, hussars, and finally the Guard cavalry. Picked mine up a few weeks ago in a second hand book shop.

I actually can't believe that the WWI French 2 volumes MAA is even on the poll – I thought I'd already seen that advertised…and if not…what with the centenary of WW1 and all I think it's pretty much a given to be published.

Glengarry508 Jun 2014 3:19 a.m. PST

Duc – A number of Osprey titles I've requested, amongst others I'm sure, have been published! Armies of the East India Company, Forts of the War of 1812, Battleships on the Great Lakes 1812-1815, American Loyalist Troops, etc…

Major Bloodnok09 Jun 2014 4:00 a.m. PST

Well if this is going to be a new publication on the Scandinavians. then it has my vote. Their old title was mostly about the Danes, with little real info. about the Swedes.
