BomballeySAM, my company has recently finished a survey of the Barnsley Pals (13/14th Y&L) training area in Silkstone, you may be interested in the blog on it: link Davidp42, it used to be housed in a dingy corner of the library, the new exhibition is much bigger and airier, well worth visiting! |

The outside and in have just been refurbished etc. One of the most interesting things is the White Ensign for HMS Sheffield is there as well, and it is huge! |

It might be the WW2 cruisers ensign because I think they had a model of the ship in the old library museum. |

It was less a personal rant and more a comment on the removal of the Falklands thread from the British Wargaming board in rather dubious circumstances. I see there is a separate thread on this, so point taken, Fredd. |
