Any intriguing new releases figures/rules wise on the horizon in the rest of 2014 as far you are concerned?

My subjective opinion is that we've had far fewer rules releases this year than we've had in other recent years. The only one significantly impinging on my consciousness is Longstreet, though that may well be a function of my personal prejudices.

I hear rumours of a BP ECW supplement, and also that Impetus Baroque may finally make it into print.

I would like to start a rumor that the Barbarossa supplement for Flames of War will be out soon, but I would be afraid that too many people would pass out from holding their breath, and I would be blamed for it.
Ditto FoW Pacific.

Robotech and Relic Knights are both due this year, that should be fun.

Gnu200001 Jun 2014 10:58 a.m. PST

Black Powder AWI supplement
John Hill's new ACW rules from Osprey
New AWI rules from Osprey

Less fussed about new figure releases but the Wargames Factory AWI stuff could be interesting.

Haven't you had enough to do today Steve? ;)

I hear there will be artillery coming from Uprising Miniatures for the Kosciuszko Uprising in 15mm sometime later this summer.

Rapier Miniatures01 Jun 2014 11:23 a.m. PST

GW will buy PSC and the Perries out and release their adapted40k rules as WW2 Rules, Bolter Action.

We'll be releasing our new Retro Raygun rules in August, along with new 32mm Retro Raygun figures for all of our factions. In addition, we'll be releasing a new 15mm alien race for our Xeno-15 range.

Most of what I am looking forward to are expansions of currently existing lines.

I am not even sure that I will be starting any new projects.

Rapier Miniatures01 Jun 2014 12:46 p.m. PST

More Retro Raygun figures… Hail Hydra!

FreeportPirate01 Jun 2014 1:27 p.m. PST

Crescent and Cross, the Crusades version of Saga, is due out this summer. Looking forward to it.

There are strong rumors that GW will come out with a new edition of Warhammer Fantasy, but not a 9th edition mass battle set but a skirmish or at least small-scale action oriented ruleset. Maybe later this year or in first half of 2015.

Lee Brilleaux Fezian01 Jun 2014 3:56 p.m. PST

I'm most interested in Bob Murch's Iroquois versus Hurons 1640s project. My favourite rules designers are working on the game.

Henry Martini01 Jun 2014 6:01 p.m. PST

Well, I still live in hope that a certain manufacturer will get around to launching his Australian colonial skirmish range before the year's out, but given that he's a one-man operation with a backlog of planned releases, I suspect it's more likely to make an initial appearance in 2015.

Augie the Doggie01 Jun 2014 6:06 p.m. PST

Fife & Drum will release their AWI Hessians in the second half of the year .

Knight of St John01 Jun 2014 8:29 p.m. PST

Henry Martini is that in 15 or 28mm?

Winston Smith01 Jun 2014 9:58 p.m. PST

Señor Squint. Will they work with King Phillip's War? You can never have too many KPW figures.

Winston Smith01 Jun 2014 9:59 p.m. PST

The rumored British Grenadier vol 4 AWI scenario book!

Trident Designs 40mm miniatures will release more medieval mounted knights and men-at-arms, AWI artillery for French, Hessians, and Spanish + British in roundabouts, ACW Artillery + lots of surprises.

Henry Martini02 Jun 2014 6:09 a.m. PST

That's 28mm, Sir knight.

Knight of St John02 Jun 2014 8:41 p.m. PST

Thank you Henry I hope they cover the Boer War.

Henry Martini02 Jun 2014 10:45 p.m. PST

Not likely, Sir knight; that particular bout of fisticuffs played itself out in SA (South Africa), not SA (South Australia).

As I said, this will be an Australian colonial skirmish range, that is, it will cover internal belligerence in New Holland.

The Boer War isn't exactly under-served as it is, anyway.

Knight of St John03 Jun 2014 8:32 a.m. PST

Sorry Henry I was hoping for Australians serving in South Africa. There's never enougth miniatures for the Boer War. Thanks for the reply, Michael.

ashill203 Jun 2014 10:38 a.m. PST

I am hoping that DBA3 gets published.
