Can anyone suggest a good source for early 80's camouflage schemes & colors for the West German Luftwaffe and Marine?

We used to see them here in Wales quite a lot (for missile shoots on Aberporth Range). IIRC, they had a very simple scheme of dark sea-grey on the upper surfaces and sides and white (or was it a very pale grey?) on the lower surfaces, extending to about one-third of the way up the fuselage sides.

Here's an example (scroll down the page):

I can do better from the home computer:

They then went to a multicolor splinter-ish scheme with different greys and a light greenish tone, but I don't remember exactly when.

No, I don't know when they changed either, but I was still seeing Marineflieger Tornados in the grey/white scheme at RAF Brawdy in 1989/90. I used to have photos of them, but they're probably somewhere in my dad's loft.

There's an excellent thread here, discussing the exact colours:

Thanks very much to all! Vallejo dark sea grey is anything but dark, so I think I'll go with basalt grey. What does everyone else use?
