On my blog I have posted a picture of a new 28mm samurai sculpt. The armour is real, it's based on a Tengu or mythical birdman. Please go and take a look fistofsteel15c.blogspot.com he is one of two new packs of attacking samurai due to be released in the next couple of months steelfistminiatures.com. |

My chum has just started doing Samurai gaming, and is building a castle and village
These look perfect to be my skirmish warband! |

Wouldn't it be fun to see a bit of recognition that Japanese battles were some of the biggest in the world, not just skirmishes? I'm sure ACW fans would be annoyed with Asians pretending that Gettysburg and the Gunfight at the OK Corral were on the same page

Thanks, Sobieski I think any way of drawing more attention to samurai is good, I do agree that it's under appreciated as a period but I think that may be due to the complexity of heraldry. |

Heh. European comic books have been classifying the ACW as Westerns for decades now
Ah, so 28mm. Cool. |

This is fantastic. I like the tengu and ogre samurai. Sobieski Piers never said Japanese battles were just skirmishes. He said he wants to use this model for a skirmish game. I am personally trying to put together a decent size 28mm Uesugi army. Probably going to try to do a massive 6mm Sanda clan force afterwards. |

Very nice! Wish I could get minis like that in 15mm

How do these compare to the Perry range, size-wise? |
setsuko | 29 May 2014 11:30 a.m. PST |
I just got my first order. They are larger, but I think they will work as command and similar minis that "stick out". Since I use my samurai army for warhammer fantasy as well (no local historical gamers), it should work perfectly for heroes and champions and such. |

Slightly bigger than perry. Acceptable for me but depends how fussy you are on scale.
Steel fist is third from left with the beard and old man mask, perry is second from right. |

Not my period or scale but truly stunning work Ian ( Shell Hole & 20mmZone ) |

@Steel Fist Just as an odd bit, but is your site having problems? Looks like only the front page and the blog is working there. |

Thanks again, glad everyone likes it. The website seems to be working, I'm not sure what could be the problem. |

I went back to the website and none of the links work. I tried leaving a message but Google locked me out. PLEASE can you give me some idea how much your figures cost and what it would cost to ship to Canada? Thank you |
Carlos13th | 30 May 2014 11:10 p.m. PST |
Old range work at at £3.00 GBP per figure. New range is £15.00 GBP for 4 infantry with your choice of head or Sashimono and £15.00 GBP for 2 mounted troops with choice of heads and Sashimono. Hope that helps. |

The extra dot at the end of the link in the first post also mess things up for me. I get to the site, but links don't work. If you remove the extra dot it should work. Www.steelfistminiatures.com |
