These are the Zastrow Cuirassier. Veterans of many campaigns with the French Imperial army. The figures are from Eureka miniatures. The Saxon Guard du Corps are to follow after a bit. These join my Saxon Grenadier (foot) Guards. I've yet to sort out the line infantry. I hadn't realised that my Saxon infantry castings (Elite miniatures) are all early. Luckily I have 10 battalions of Calpe Saxons to paint up. The cavalry should hold the enemy at bay until they march up.

Very nice (as usual :-)) Basing is impressive as always. |

Really nice. I have a regiment of Zastrow and the Life Guard Cuirassiers to paint at some stage – currently gathering dust in a box somewhere. Bookmarked for inspiration. |

You have done the more difficult unit now. White belts on a white jacket! So, now treat yourself to the real Garde Du Corps from Eureka. At least you are then working against a buff coat. I posted mine some time back and still think (as one of my very, very, few units without 1815) they are my favourite figures ever
.till I get my Gendarmes d'Elite from Gringos and Perrys that is! |

Quite lovely mate! Much better than mine, but I love them all the same:

Nice to see those, Sparker. Especially as they are from a fellow tuft aficionado. That looks like your shed/work room, judging from the tools hung up on the wall. You are lucky to be in the land of Eureka. How far are they from you? I don't know if they have a shop or just do mail order. |

They are down in Melbourne, so quite some distance away. But they do have a shop down there. Fortunately Nic travels to shows quite a lot, and indeed has been to the last few Salutes, so maybe next year you could catch him there. Nice fellow! |
