How lovely. Thank you for sharing.

Can you tell is what rigging, sails (material and setting) you selected for the ship?

What does your navy comprise?

Hello Chortle, first thank you for your comments.

About rigging I use fine polyester thread because cotton thread is better. Ideally, use nylon thread but it's very dificult to work with it.

When I put the strings then I have to give the proper curvature. To do this, I use an instant glue and I helped me with tweezers. Using glue, strings are bright, for that reason then I have to paint the ropes.

The sails are brass. Langton miniatures sells sails of this type. This sails are finer than white metal sails, but they are more dificult to work.

About my navy. I don't have own navy. I hang photos about the work to my customers.

Have a nice day,

Julián.

Hi Julián,

They are VERY good! Would you be interested in showing off your work in a magazine? Perhaps an article on ship building?

Drop me a line at editor@wssmagazine.com

Thanks,

Guy

Thank you, Julián. I have some Langtons which I have to complete. So your work is inspirational and your tips helpful.

Stunning. I love the ADW -- the only time that two great wooden fleets of roughly comparable size and skill fought on the high seas. The battles were epic--they make Trafalgar look like a skirmish.

Hello Julian. You should cross post your beautiful ships over on the Napoleonic naval boards so the rest of us age of sail enthusiasts can enjoy them.

Was the Eendracht the ship that was blown up by a hot cannonball into the powder magazine? If so there's a very dramatic picture of it somewhere.
