We played a game with some new Up Armoured Slammers blowers the other night using Hammer's Slammers: The Crucible rules. Mayhem ensued!

Two detachments of Blowers were pitched against three detachments of TAS and two of the Aluadae Legion: Alois' boys job was to defend a Drop Ship.

The game was bigger than we usually like to play in an evening – four players and seven detachments – but they were all experienced players. We kept the table small and tight (a 6ft by 8ft) and people were in combat from the get go. Urban punch ups are always a challenge with armoured units and this one was no exception.

A big thanks goes out to Kevin Dallimore, Peter Merritt and Ivan Congreve for playing.

A full AAR with maps and some slightly soft photographs can be read here.#: link

We also took the opportunity to try out some rules from the upcoming Supplement 5.

Thanks for sharing John,
Looks like it was a great game.
The board & buildings are inspiring.
I wonder ,if a 6 x 8 ft table is small & tight for you,what would be large ? :):):)

7 detachments (nerly 60 vehicles and infantry stands) on a table that big just makes for pretty frantic game.

If you want to see a table that ain't a tight squeeze, see here…

It was: as the player with the two TAS police units, watching them eviscerated by torrents of fire from tri-barrels on combat cars was interesting to say the least…

You are all too kind and – to be honest – I have some mad mates (Roger "The Scenery King" Dixon and Kevin Dallimore being just two of them!).

I'm fortunate to be just a part of a great team.

That's huge & I have never honestly seen a table that large ( that's almost as big as my house, let alone my gaming room/workshop :):):) ) & with so many players.

Truly Inspirational John.
Thanks for the links
