"Are the Tango haters happy now?" Topic

No, this is NOT anything spiteful about how your Front Page may now be messed up, until Dear Editor gets around to de-bugging it some time next week.
I kind of like that attitude, by the way. "OK, you forced me to do this, now live with it!"

No, what I am asking is if now that the Front Page can be expanded to 400 posts, and the Ignore function is in place, are you now truly happy?

You know what I have said before, that this will not satisfy you. Prove me wrong. I can take it. I have been wrong before, and gladly.

And also for the record, I was in favor of this back in 2011 when we voted on it the last time.

The editor has installed the ignore function to address the issue and we should leave it at that and move on. Personally I have availed of this facility and I am delighted with the result.

What you are doing now is trying to keep the issue alive by starting yet another Tango post. I think it would be better if you gave it a rest.

What I find funny is that this is the first post I have made since the new ignore went into effect, yet I already have 5 ignores and 4 more stifles. So tell me what is it about the name that inspires such hate? At least let me post something before you decide to ignore me.

I understand what you mean. I have picked up one stifle and 2 ignores today. I did not realise that I was that important.

In fact if you look at the statistics then some people must have spent their day ignoring other people.

Probably get another ignore for saying that.

I haven't "ignored" anyone yet (apart from my 3 year old who's demanding a packet of chocolate buttons he spotted on a shelf this morning) but I do welcome the changes if only it means less attacks on members.

I never really saw the point to stifling someone but this option actually makes sense to me.

Well, life must be treating some of you folks pretty damn good if you have to work so hard to try and find "enemies" and tribalize in a community this small. Seriously pathetic. I had to bury a friend on Friday, murdered by a drunk driver on his way to work Monday morning. A wife and 3 children. Everything he is, was, and was going to be gone at the age of 57. This crap is trivial. Grow up already.

"Hater" does seems to be one of those catch cry tags that the slow of wit like to throw around to validate their argument (in their own minds at least) or take the "moral" high ground in a discussion. Anywho if there are some "haters" out there, are you happy now?

Thanks Dave. You should win some Stifles and Ignores for that opinion. LOL. I bet that there are those on each side that now have either. And probably a few from those who have stated that they wouldn't use them LOL.

It would seem the number of Tango threads, rhetoric, vitriol and insults flying back and forth because of one person posting more that another has caused Bill to create the Ignore button.

I find all of this rather sad.

I am a gamer.
I like to learn how new rules sets play.
I paint figures.
I come here for advice on uniforms and painting.
I like to see others work and appreciate and learn from it.

A whole lot of this mess is because of peoples ego's needing to be seen.

I wish all of us could just get back to gaming, painting and having fun.
