I dig the camo, but I love dazzle paint of any sort. I think we discussed this vehicle a while back, and the consensus seemed to be that although it looks REALLY cool (and will be great for SF when somebody makes a model of it), the concept may be flawed. Only time will tell, I suppose. Doug |

There are a few other MBT to APC conversions. The Israelis have the Namer/Leopard, based on the Merkava chassis – en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namer – which carries 9 infantry plus an assortment of weapons. They have also produced APCs based on Centurions and t54/t55. Russia (and Ukraine? from memory) have done BTR-T and BMPT. And let's not forget the various Commonwealth Kangaroos from WW2. |

But the manufacturer recomends you buy 2 since 1 will always be in the shop. |

If you look at the kind of fighting going on in, say, Syria, then having something with MBT-like armor to escort tanks (provide anti-infantry and suppressive fires) is very, very desirable. This has potential. |

Or you could just train your infantry properly and then once they are good infantry, you train them with armor. |

@Foxtrot Papa Romeo: The BMPT-72 isn't an APC, it carries no troops internally. To my eyes, it's a return to the Male/Female tank concept of WW1. 'Male' T72s tooled up to kill other tanks with minimal anti-infantry capability, and 'Female' BMPT-72s tooled up to kill infantry with minimal anti-tank capability. The US isn't running with that design because the US trains infantry in urban fighting. The Russians still don't run a professional military like the US does, so their training is much less. Besides, a Bradley has just as much firepower and good protection with the BUSK kit, which means that the US troops can keep up with the Abrams to the city. |

1/35 scale, though, Armand. Maybe if we ask Khurasan nicely he will make one in 15mm
