The 1966 experiment used USAF colours or their equivalent (Dark Green FS 34079, Olive Drab FS 34102 and Tan FS 30219). FS 34102 is in fact the medium green in USAF SEA camo but it does look more like an olive drab on photos I've seen of USN aircraft.
Here is the breakdown of colours used:
USS Constellation
VA-65 Intruders Dark Green 34079 & Olive Drab 34102 with White undersurfaces
RVAH-6 Vigilantes Dark Green 34079 & Olive Drab 34102 with White undersurfaces
VA-155 Skyhawks Dark Green 34079 & Olive Drab 34102 with White undersurfaces
USS Kitty Hawk
VA-85 Intruders Dark Green 34079 with White undersurfaces
VF-213 Phantom Dark Green 34079 with White undersurfaces
VAH-4 Skywarrior Dark Green 34079 with White undersurfaces
RVAH-13 Vigilantes Dark Green 34079, Olive Drab 34102 & Tan 30219 with White undersurfaces
VA-113 Skyhawks Dark Green 34079 & Olive Drab 34102 with White undersurfaces
VA-115 Skyraiders Dark Green 34079, Olive Drab 34102 & Tan 30219 with White undersurfaces
For FS 34079, I tend not to use Vallejo (which would be Vallejo 893 US Dark Green FS 34219 or Vallejo Air 016 US Dark Green FS 34219) but the one of the following:
Lifecolor UA 052 Dark Green FS 34079
Humbrol 116 Dark green FS 34079
Gunze H309 Green FS 34079
For tan, I use Vallejo 874 USA Tan Earth FS 34219
For FS 34102, colours vary widely depending on manufacturer but I guess you could use Olive Drab 889 for a very dark brownish hue or whatever medium green you use on USAF camo.
