I've just started painting some more West Wind old west figures, among them the Russian Hunting party. What would be the correct colors for Russian military in this time period? They are wearing coats, hats with brims, pants, and boots.

At the time the Russians were very, very actively expanding in Central Asia and the East – Askari Miniatures has some good painting ideas

Basically white, off-white or green coats, probably white or off white pants and black boots – caps could be white or green, hats probably grey or black

I can't help you with official schemes, but this guy did his in tans and grays, and they look great (scroll down about halfway): link

Very nice figures…also nice to see a well-done picture of miniatures (which is hard to do, in and of itself) without having the saturation jacked up.

Oh, wow, that helps a lot and gives me plenty of ideas!

These figures work really well for WW1 Russian Eastern Front scenarios.

Which line in West Wind has these figures? I don't see an old west category.

Old Glory sells these in their Cowboy Wars line:

Hope that helps!
