Gentlemen, I would like to show you the first images of our upcoming WWI ranges. (by vandyckmodelsandfigurines)
All figures are 12mm of actual height giving them and all vehicles an exact scale of 1/144.

The release will be later this year and a basic 1914 Belgian and German army will be made available.

All infantry packs will contain 30 soldiers in 8 different poses.
Officers, buglers, etc. will be sold in separate command packs containing 10 figures in various poses.

We have tried to provide these figures with as much detail as possible. This should also help with painting them later. If you apply a wash after a thin layer of basic colours you can let the detail do the work for you.

The figures shown here have had a blackwash to reveal all details.

More images here.

Have fun!

This scale would fit well with the Kallistra range, which also features 12mm figures. The examples above look very good. Best wishes for sales.

I'm looking at the rows of buttons… Incredible. The Belgian uniform is a very handsome one.

Really nice work…and those are 12mm? Wow! I know you said the release is later this year, but who wants to wait that long? ;)

Looking forward to seeing these being produced.

What are your plans for expansion after these have been released?

Vimy Ridge19 May 2014 7:33 a.m. PST

Wow! Those are GREAT looking minis!!!! (Where's that "jaw-dropping" smilie?!?"

I would have said that those were 15/18mm, not 12mm!

Shame that I game in 15mm for the vast majority of things, and I don't want to start 12mm. But dang, those look good!!!

I agree, handsome with lots of flavour from a past era. Totally inadequate for the kind of war that was coming in 1914, but they will definitely look great on a wargame table!

No exact date yet, sorry!
The first release will cover the infantry, after that it's the cavalry, both mounted and dismounted, German and Belgian.
We hope to gradually cover more nations both large and small.
We will also do some ranges from the Great War in East Africa, starting with Belgian "Force Public" figures and their German counterparts.

Thank you all for the encouraging comments!!!

Looks like two Belgian packs and one German pack already up on their website. See original post.

Kris Van Dyck02 Nov 2014 5:48 p.m. PST

Yes Darryl, basic Belgian and German infantry is available now. I also got the Minerva armoured car ready. link
I just need to take a few new images to show the final results.
