link I have the USE ME Sci-Fi rules, played a couple of games and like them, for their simplicity. I have also the USE ME WW2 version, did not play it, but looks very similar to the Sci-Fi rules. I am curious about the other titles of the series (Fantasy, Modern, ACW, Starships, Post-Apocalypse, Wild West, Zombie, Cyberpunk, Horror
.) that's a lot of variations! Do you play them? What are your impressions? Thank you! |

I've got the WW2 version but haven't played it yet. There's a LOT in those books for the money. I quite like the way range and suppression work in theory at least. Hmm
might have an inaugral game later. |

Having had two inaugural games this evening (quick work, eh?) there are a couple of things that gave me pause. Firstly complete lack of morale rules. Secondly I found that firefights became very protracted thanks to having a second role for penetration which is statistically skewed in favour of the figure being shot/grenaded/stabbed. I would make "equal to or less" roles automatically cause a Wing, +1 to attacker cause a Struck, +2 or more a kill. I.e. if you're hit then you get hurt at some level. As it was I had guys using both actions to shoot at each other, or lob grenades, for two or three turns before anyone got hit. Since they were only placed a few inches apart it did look a bit silly. I think perhaps Elan ought to do more than just affect initiative order, you can have an Elan 6 guy in melee with an Elan 1 guy and get no advantage – it does affect shooting but only at the extremes of the scale. On the whole a solid skirmish game, easy to play, could easily be used for anything from WW2 to the near future as is but needs a bit of fine tuning to give me the sort of game I like. |

If you go here link there are some free additional rules for morale, etc; they are for the sci-fi version but I think they can be used with the WW2 version (I did not try them) |

I have purchased them but have yet to play any. I went all in and bought six of the sets. |
