To celebrate the new PA board, here are some fun cars I built for playing Machinas.

These are 1:32 scale. You can use any scale car with Machinas, but I chose 1:32 because it fits my 54mm collection of post-apoc figures (mostly post-apoc gladiators).

These are diecast cars with brass rod, plastic styrene and basswood for all the conversion work. All of these cars are copies of 1/64 Hotwheels) conversions I made a while back (see the last photo); all of those original cars have been sent off to better homes, now.

I was lucky enough to pick up six of the 1/64 cars done by Evilcartoonist. They are excellent in every manner.
Jada Toys also does a line called Battle Machines in different scales that are good right out if the blister or box.
I just picked up the Machinas rules and they seem simple to play yet detailed in car building mechanism.
I only have Roadkill(AH) and Car Wars to compare it to.

Doesn't look like it holds the drudgery that those two can. Just my opinion.

Hi, Char. I saw that you picked up some of those cars offered by Ed. Some of those are the 1/64 versions of these I posted here. I'm glad you like'em :)

As for Machinas, I wrote it to fill that gap of wanting a nice simple road warrior game that didn't require a lot of space.
Ed had the smarts enough to make it easy to insert into just about any RPG.

What scale are Jada? They seem a little larger than Hot Wheels, but not quite 1/43?

Brilliant! I especially love the second one!

evilcartoonist,

The Jada models I picked up say 1/64 on the packaging but we'll see when they arrive… I'll keep you updated!

Got some of the Jada 1/64 cars today. The Camaro cop battle car fits in well. I think very well after weathering. the Silverado fire truck with cannon is HUGE. I would not recommend it with hot wheels.
I will report on others as they come in.
BTW the Camaro scales to the Silverado well.

Yeah- that Camaro they have is a sweet little machine.
Too bad the big rig is too big. You might check out Maisto or M2 Machines to see if they have a better-sized rig. Here are a couple links (both showing images of the trucks with 1/64 cars):

Maisto 2014 catalogue (check out the 1/64 Elite Transports): link

M2 Machines (Auto Haulers): link

Those are some great options

Thanks!
