I was thinking about making some screens for use when playing Wings of Glory, ones that would cover the damage from opponents. I don't like having the cards upside down as it's sometimes easy to forget about special damages, especially when using more than one plane. They wouldn't have to be very high, just enough to obscure the cards. But before I do, does anyone make anything similar, in MDF? I know there are some on the WOG aerodrome, but they are too similar to the original boards for my tastes.

I can't recall off-hand, if it was Litko or Cor-Sec, but one of those companies make "card holders" for the X-Wing game. Strips of thin MDF (I think?) with slots cut length-wise into the material. The cards are meant to stand upright in the slots, so your opponent across the table wouldn't be able to see your cards. I think it might work for what you want.

Just a thought – what about cheap, small picture frames?

It was Cor-Sec. "Starfighter Card Docks" – right on the front page.

ah hah, so they are, they look OK. Picture frames may work as well. I was picturing a wrap around style screen, to cover three boards (that's the usual amount of planes we have per side), but the card I had in the house wasn't big enough, so I was thinking about MDF.
