We are very pleased to release the Soriog Infantry, the first codes in our 15mm Soriog Empire range. These are large and powerful sentient aliens with advanced tech and a relentless will to conquer, and are the greatest alien threat to the Federation. We have three infantry codes now available.
The first code is a set of eight poses of soldiers with energy rifles.
The second is a set of squad heavy weapons -- a rotary multilaser and a heavy armour piercing weapon.
The third is a higher level command set, with an officer magnate and his trusted veteran rating receiving a runner who is kneeling before his lord, and a priest-magnate, who serve (very effectively) as medics in Soriog forces. The other alien races that serve in Soriog Imperial armies will soon follow, as will Soriog vehicles, including the War Harness that is shown at the top of the Soriog line. The infantry were sculpted by Mike Broadbent and painted by Tengu. Available now, at this link: link |

By the way, here's an image showing (in the second row) a Siriog compared to some human (and alien) models. (In the first row there's also a sneak peek at a Raug Ceepay!)

That's interesting. I can't see the pics in the first post, get nothing but red crosses, but I can see the pics in the second post. |
khurasanminiatures | 09 May 2014 9:53 a.m. PST |
Strange because the images in the first post are all hosted on my site, whereas the image in the second post is freehosted, so I'd think if you were going to have trouble seeing anything it would be the other way round! |

Extra WOW! You need to get these to shows in the UK (and how about teaming up with a UK firm to stock all your Lead goodness? Again wonderful. Cheers |

Not only are your figures cool, but the work that you put into the backgrounds of the various alien races and broups is really interesting. |

Now the SPAR teams have definitely got to be released
to assist in taking down these new threats!!! ;) |
zrunelord | 09 May 2014 11:10 a.m. PST |
Superb minis Jon, well worth the wait, they would look good in 25mm most probably, also. And I must ask, will the Raug Ceepay & the Mechs be realised very soon ? One question , the Raug look lupine but the Soriog faces aren't that clear .Are they lupine also ? Z |

8 foot tall badass looking religious fanatic warriors!? AWESOME! great style, and, as always, great execution
.their vehicles and wolf Auxileries, of course, will be great. It seems like a rather
.interesting time to be in the federal army; They are in conflict with species that have significantly and blatently superior troop quality and tech like the Soriog and Garn (I know at SOME point they'll be getting that massive update, and that will make it even worse for the poor feds) bolstered by more numerous species that also have AT LEAST equal, if not superior tech and quality to said poor feds (like the Garn's Felid allies and the Soriog's Raugs) coupled with threats that, although not as bad, force major diversion of resources and manpower to deal with them properly(like the space demon infestations). As if that weren't enough, the Nova Respublic, besides waging a cold/proxie war with the feds, continues to build up it's military might for an inevitable massive, allout clash with the feds, and their already available (and, from the badass look of their new APC's and MBT's, it just gets better) tech/manpower is more than enough to give them at least a chance of victory against even a federation that is able to focus on them, which is, most likely, not going to happen. Those vitros, spars, and XM-6's had better be rushed to the front fast, because it's not looking good for our boys in green at all. 8-O |

zrunelord, the other codes will be following, but not in a few days. I've decided to get the roots down for a bunch of lines that have been waiting then build each one up. Next will be the celestial mariners, I think. The description of the Soriogs is on the webstore. They are not wolflike, they are somewhat like a cross between snakes and more active reptilians ("birds" as we call them), but are very much their own thing. |

I think releasing the Celestial marines is a very good idea Jon. Were they made to go with the Gota clan range of miniature ? |
zrunelord | 09 May 2014 10:28 p.m. PST |
Thanks for the update Jon, Got that, the Raug Ceepay ( which are the lupine ones )are a subjugate race.I like the term War Harness a lot , as it's an original way of calling a Mech. Gunner I have the same problem with dark pics on my TFT/Laptop, have to go see the pics on my old CRT monitor. Is it possible to put one of Soriogs next to a 28mm Fed for scale purposes ? The possibilities are endless

khurasanminiatures | 10 May 2014 9:53 a.m. PST |
Yes Dan, that's the Raug, and there will be as many poses of them as there are of the Soriogs (except their command set includes the Soriog officer-magnate and his trusted commoner sergeant type). Deflatermouse, those are from my alien invasion range which has not yet been released. Also the dark steel robot next to the War Caste on the bottom row -- that's a Kallinekt combat drone, which serve as the rank and file warriors in the alien force. The greys are called the science caste and do not believe, after centuries of study, that humans need to be subjugated, but the war caste disagree and, in a rare schism, invade anyway. The Science Caste strongly oppose this and even offer some passive assistance to the humans. Yes, lots of unreleased stuff. That's actually why I've just released the Soriog infantry -- I want to do the same with all the other ranges I have, get at least the main pewter sets out first. That would include the Mariners, the Thrainites, the redo of the Carnivorans, the SPAR, the Speznatz for Nova Respublik (which are very, very odd looking -- I love them), the Maggotons and the Zone of Alienation ranges. And I'm probably forgetting something! The problems with releasing them are many. As it is I think the volume of orders has now gone over what I can reasonably process within one to two weeks. Also building a range is an incredibly slow process and waiting for that last element to be sculpted cast and painted can take, and I'm not exaggerating here, years. But I'm not getting any younger! So I've decided to make that big jump off the roof and hope I have the kinetic energy to reach the roof of the house next door! Oh, I knew I forgot something, the near future troopers (JongPAC, USMC and alien Acarines). Also several historical ranges (later Neo-Assyrians, Caucasian renaissance period warriors, etc.). |

Are there any celestial marine previews or are they a little further off? Celestial Mariners? That's one in the comparison image, top row second from the right. They are allies in this dimension of what humans call Species 84, aliens from another dimension vastly greater and more advanced than anything in this dimension.

An overload of Galactic proportions
. I assume those Centuroids are the Species 84
. another great species
and the paint job is superb. Jon , how do you manage to create such variety ? Z |

Oh I misunderstood celestial mariners to be space marines. I like the sculpts a lot but just not sure on the size when playing with minis size deviation which is a natural thing in reality can look weird on the table top. |
Irish Marine | 10 May 2014 5:01 p.m. PST |
What are most of the figures in the two rows? Can you name them besides the Soriog. Thanks |

Hey Jon, sorry to add to the bombardment of questions you're getting here, but by any chance are the Zantin legions on that list of minis you're trying to get out the door? Also, who are those guys on the very right in the lower picture with black armor and green visor? |
khurasanminiatures | 11 May 2014 7:59 a.m. PST |
Sorry but the figure to lower right is not in black armour, he's in sand brown. |
BlackWidowPilot | 11 May 2014 9:12 p.m. PST |
Just brilliant. Hopefully one of these days you'll compile all of your background information into a single volume and publish it alas an Area Studies encyclopedia of the Known Khurasanverse for all of us to enjoy

I can see uses for every last one of 'em
from the 'bots for my JGSDF brigade (which uses synthetic soldiers and robots/drones out the wazoo) for Tomorrow's War to assorted human and non human troops as stand ins for various troop types/factions for our upcoming sci fi ground combat system
Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net P.S. "Terror troops," Jon? Really? You just had to do that to me

So
many
awesome
aliens! Seriously, your dedication to producing so many incredible and varied alien species is deserving of some kind of gamer's award medal, Jon. Those 'species 84' centauroids are just fantastic, and obviously will work a treat in 28mm as well. And I LOVE the paintjobs. Gives them a real classic high-concept sci-fi look. |
