"Well, fourth Indian pushed forward over the crest we assaulted in the last report, only to discover a deep valley and another even taller mountain. Again the problems of LOS was a killer…4 inch visibility looking up the mountain, 12 inch looking down!

5th Brigade was a bit spent on the left flank so 11th stepped up and replaced them on the drive around the flank…meanwhile 7th continued its push up the centre. In hindsight I spread the attack over too great an area…two battalions charges forward and received roughly 36 dice of opportunity fire each from the heights as they crossed the valley floor with minimal cover. The end result wasn't actually too bad…only 3-4 stands killed, but I wasn't going to risk another charge until I could concentrate on one point in the line.

That night however, the 4th Division was pulled out and replaced by the 5th.

What was the high point in the previous game is now the low ridge on the left! …"
