Hi all,

Currently making a game board with the above and just wondered if anyone has any tips.
Carving has taken place and painting may be next on the list.
Are then any tips on whether the boards should be treated and if so with what?

Cheers
Mike

It can't hurt to treat them, but it can't hurt not to treat them. I use Minwax brush-on polyurethane. Works very well

What are spacer boards?

I have seen them used to create space and lift printed circuit boards away from possible electrical complications in machinery and appliances or they might be those foam insulation boards for the loft?
With carving involved I would say the loft version ,but don't throw away old PCB boards as the components are great for terrain enhancements sci-fi tank stowage.

What's a loft?

Yes I too wonder what is meant by spacer boards.

The loft is an English word for the space between the last ceiling in the upper storey and the roof, usually accessible via a hatch in the ceiling, and sometimes converted to an extra room.

I know what a loft is, but what's a spacer board?

Sounds like referring to foam insulation?

So a loft is an attic? In the US a loft is a room on an upper floor that is open to the lower floor.

Like a mezzanine?

Depends on how often the maid cleans…
