I saw the ground work on your blog. Lovely. What was the material?

Have you read the cold war novel "Chieftains"? A good read. The ending is a bit abrupt.

Cheers, its Vallejo pumice.

Chieftains was an awesome read. Just finished Harvey Blacks effect trilogy which was one of the best cold war books ive read. On par with Red Strom Rising which im currently re reading.

Thanks for the info on the Vallejo basing gunk.

I will have a look out for Harvey Black's books.

Yes mate you won't be disappointed – Harvey was a former Int Corps Staffie so knows his stuff…

Lovely models! Can I ask what you are doing for Infantry and what rules you are thinking of using?

Hazza31B03 May 2014 3:32 p.m. PST

Yep was a cracker of a read.

Using GHQs infantry, shame they all have SA80/L85s But at 6mm not a huge problem. Primarily going to use Cold war commander but might see how the FoW modern ruleset goes at 6mm.

On the way are my Russians which will be double the size of this force. Seeing as I enjoyed these so much think ill end up doing French, Germans, Danish, Chinese and an Aussie force. All 79-93 so the aussie can still use my beloved leopard!
