Well there are plenty of moderately dressed fantasy female miniatures along with the nude stuff. I guess nudes in ridiculous attire must be a problem with historicals but then women mostly didnt really fight historically…

Still troublesome I see plenty of posts where people still take 1 inch high warriors way too seriously or perhaps are just looking for a place to preach their modest views.

There is, of course, the possibility that the character just wants to dress like that and, when things get tough, noone is really available to convince them not to.

I just had a thought. The girls could be in underwear due to having woken to find intruders in their house, certainly; if they're the type to sleep in their underwear, that's what they wear. Maybe even swimwear would be justifiable if they commonly wore it instead of underwear, and simply slept in whatever they were wearing underneath? Perhaps they're not actually surviving an apocalypse or adventuring in dungeons but in their backyard pool, or on holiday when fights break out, and they carried guns in their beach bags? Though melee weapons and underwater weapons would make more sense there, but then carrying handguns because "I have the right, man!" doesn't make much sense if you haven't been trained in CQB, and most people who carry iron in civilian life don't.
Of course, you could paint their ranged weapons in bright colours and say they're Super Soakers, so it would make more sense that they're wearing swimwear.

I'm running out here. I think the real answer is simply "because we wanna."

While some of these are amuseing, and even the detail amazing, but there comes a point when some of us think.. "Ok, we got it. Woman sexy."

I agree 100%, someone is keeping them in business. After all no one produces anything, unless someone is buying it. But I really cant imagine there is THAT strong of a market for so great a supply.

Im a great fan of WGF, and yet I think they "slipped" a bit in the design of their Amazon Warriors. They could have been 'outfitted' with a skirt and not just a few "well placed", leather strips as there "uniform".

I know, historically some of both, men and women went into battle pure nude. But from the legends I have heard, I have never heard of that being the case for the amazons.

Lord! Has anyone here heard of a thing called Paint??? It comes in more colors than Caucasian flesh and nipple pink. It's also the easiest way to convert miniatures known. If I find good female minis that are too bare I just paint the parts that I want clothed in a color other than flesh. A few fine lines can give me both wrinkles and seams in the erstat clothing. As far as skin tight clothing that is slippery to the touch-plenty of reasons for that in close combat. Think of american football players. Their uniforms are very hard to grip.

Given a descent pose many of the nude/semi-nude figures can be converted easily to a good gaming figure in a few minutes of painting.
