I've whipped up some Quadtrac-style replacements for the standard wheels on this thing. The nice thing is that the modeler can use all four of each or go 2-and-2 to make a half-track style vehicle.
Now I need to start flogging this thing around and see if anyone wants to produce it! |

Would make a cool civilian vehicle as well. |

Rebel or Khurasan may be your best bet. Or maybe CMG? |

That's what I'm talking about! Get that thing into production. Great ideas don't do any good when they stay in your mind, paper or hard drive. |

What an ugly, ridiculous looking contraption. I like it! Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net

I think it'd look wicked with a doubled length rear track as well! I like the half track version! |

Thanks, all! @kidbananas: I did whip up a lightbar for use in making a civilian police version:
One thought: the Quadtrac units are placed further out from the hull because of the bumpers which I added, but the bumpers aren't a standard part of the real vehicle:
Would it be better to get rid of (or trim down) the bumpers to allow the Quadtracs to sit closer in to the hull? |
Lion in the Stars | 30 Apr 2014 8:58 a.m. PST |
I'd think about reshaping the bumpers to clear the tracks and keep the tracks close to the hull. |

I posted a picture of an even meaner looking one on the 15mm fb page. Glad to see someone has the time and money to make a real steel version. |

@TinyTerrain: please tell me you're talking about 15mm versions! Though if someone were to crank out a 28mm resin model I'd be interested in ONE. Hey, I only game Infinity in 28mm, and vehicles are basically only scenery. Attractive scenery, maybe even interactive scenery, but nonetheless only scenery. |

The beauty of digital design is that I can "easily" scale the basic vehicle up or down to fit anything from 3mm to 54mm scale, with appropriate tweaking done to meet minimum wall thicknesses in whatever material the thing is being printed in! Maybe I should prepare this thing for 6mm and 3mm consumption, too
hmmm

Guys, good news, Andreas and I are in discussion regrading the nitty gritty, and production of this in 15mm will be happenning later this year. I will update you all when I have more concrete news for you, in the meantime keep your ideas and inputs about other variants coming. Best regards, Craig Tiny Terrain Models Http://www.wargames.blog.co.uk |

We've already whipped up a couple additional weapons options for this thing, including a remote CROWS .50 cal and an antitank missile launcher. Next will be a command/communications module. I have other ideas -- maybe an air defense version, a crowd-control "pain beam" microwave generator, or a CROWS-mounted grenade launcher. Lots of possibilities! |
