She's Angry. Comparison with the book. "At its best, the Game of Thrones TV show is transformative. It takes the biggest limitation of the books–a very small number of point-of-view characters–and obliterates it, allowing secondary characters like Margaery, Missandei and Grey Worm to develop new depth and interact in entirely new ways. On rare occasions, it even gives us insight into the story in ways the books couldn't—or at least, haven't yet. At its worst, the Game of Thrones show is exploitative, adding gratuitous "mature viewers" content in ways that add nothing to the story and occasionally distract from it. The latest episode, "Oathkeeper," is a bit of both, and feels kind of like reaching into a grab bag of jewels and broken glass. I really need to squelch that little man in my head that's always worrying about how closely/not closely this is following the books. It's really distracting, and clearly the last episode has gone off the reservation, bigtime. Little asides like the aforementioned one with Missandei and Grey Worm are fine, but I could do without the time wasted on making Price Oberyn or Craster's understudy extra-offputting (though the book-Viper was meaner to Tyrion); is it worth the lost run-time, with us closing in on mid season? |

or at least, haven't yet. Indeed, the series has not explored Daenerys' lesbian tendencies the way Storm of Swords did. |

It would be better if the author knew the meaning of the word "exploited". |
