I put up some photos taken during our 54mm game last Saturday (26 April 2014).

-- Table, terrain, German forces, and Russian BT-7 light tank from the collection of our host, "Alamo" Ron, who commanded the German forces.

-- Soviet troops from my collection, commanded by Ray and me.

Really nice photos taken by Ray. Less spectacular photos taken by me.

I don't yet have a blog, so hope you enjoy these photos on Flickr.

Looks fantastic!

About how many figures were on the table per side? What rules did you use?

Thank you for your comments.

The German force consisted of:
-- two motorcycle troops, each with 12 troopers
-- one halftrack w/ 12 panzergrenadiers & German commander
-- one Sd. Kfz. 222 armored car with 20mm
-- two Czech-built Panzer 38(t)
-- one towed 75mm anti-tank gun with 6 crew

The Russian force consisted of:
-- one BT-7 fast tank
-- one M3 lend-lease light tank
-- one cavalry troop w/ 9 troopers
-- four motorized infantry squads, each w/ 9 soldiers
-- one Willy's Jeep with Maxim 7.62mm MG and 3 crew
-- one GAZ with 37mm AT gun and 4 crew
-- one Divisional reconnaissance troop w/ 11 troops, mounted on 3 x Ford amphibians (GPA)
-- M-72 motorcycle w/ sidecar and two crew
-- Soviet commander on horseback

The rules were home-grown, developed by Ron, our host -- referred to as "Red, White, Blue, Green, Yellow, Black."

They use correspondingly-colored D6, D8, D10, D12, D16, and D20 dice to determine casualties. Roll a 1, inflict a casualty; Roll a 2 or 3, suppress an enemy figure for one turn.

The distance from your target determines which die to use -- close range uses a D6, longest range uses D20.
