My first official companies for IHMN have arrived; the Prince of Wales' Extraordinary Company, and the Servants of Ra. As regards the latter, would anyone have suggestions for 28mm Nubian guards? The Perry Madhist set is nice and poseable, but I don't need that many figures! Based on the fluff, I think Ancients figures would be better than 19th century figures. The more Egyptian or pseudo-Egyptian in fashion the better.

Also, I'm trying to assemble the Kentish Men, which is not in the books, but can be found at in the Bonus Material section of the official IHMN website:

It's supposed to be the criminal syndicate masterminded by the shadowy figure only known as "The Professor" and is based in London. So I'm also looking for proxies for the following:
1. Navvies (workmen). Victorian era workers with pick, shovel, sledgehammers etc.

2. Victorian era boys for the "Dodgers". The stereotypical ragamuffin street urchin.

At the moment Ironclad Miniatures seem to have all the named characters for the Kentish Men so that part is settled.

Thank you for your time. And remember, "Play, up, play up, and play the game!"

Blue Moon and others have tons of Victorian civilians that work for Kentish lads.

Pulp Figures have some 'sailors' and dock workers that would work to

You could take a look at Dark Fable miniatures, they have quite a nice variety of ancient Egyptians

Otherwise try Black Tree Design, Foundry or North Star

My mate was looking for Nubians – for the same reason.

The Wargames Foundry ranges are worth a rummage.
Baluchi Mercenaries, have some possibilities. As do African Mercenaries range

With the new book, he instead went for Demons to add some close range combat potential, and used some WHFB anubis style figures.

How nubile do you want your Nubians?

Pulp Figures make a few figures that might work…

Their pulpfigures.com/products/view/84 are more teenager, but you can get a little more umph out of them …

And their sailors are pretty much workmen …

… probably a few other sets there that might meet your need.

I bought some Asar figures from Crocodile Games to use for Nubian guards.

Thanks all for the replies. The Vampire War suggestion is a good one and could be combined with an order for Capt. Nemo and crew. Had not heard of Black Tree Design before and book marked them for future reference. Dark Fable is a good choice eventually, but he does not have an online store yet.

The nubile female Nubians are a temptation, and if I go that route I will probably go for the Horus Guards with the falcon helmets.

The Crocodile Games Asar look good and are the current frontrunners. (Almost went in for their Wargods of Greece KS …)

The Pulp Figures etotheipi suggested will probably become the dodgers and navvies (The Bowery Boys are colorful). Also, if I do purchase the West Wind Capt Nemo and crew set, a few more sailors won't hurt.
