The combat robots, which have no foreign analogue, will be used to secure Yars and Topol-M missile sites and can be operated remotely by a secure wireless connection and in the future with an autonomous artificial intelligence system, the program reported Monday. Of course we do "Gladiator" can be armed with M240 or Mk19 and many other weapon systems and has been semi atonomous for at least 10 years. The reason for this is the damn things want to kill everything so if they did not have to get permission to engage they would be more dangerous then what they are supposed to be guarding against

So if I lob a paint at it and it can't see and if I toss IR smoke
does it still find me or am I looking at something I can hijack? |

Just wait until someone hacks the software. And it possibly won't have components pre-loaded with malware manufactured in a large, nominally socialist country in Asia, because no one would buy computer components made there, right? (sarcasm mode off) |

I like robots
but like anything else they can be taken out with MGs, GL, man pack AT weapons, etc.
but better a 'bot than a trooper to be put in harms way
