Hi all, I'm on the run for two naval games (1/2400 to 1/ 3000 scale) for the period of WWI and WWII. I'm looking for a system that focuses in command and control. I don't care about the complexity but I do care about a good simulation of commanding a number of squadrons. Unfortunately, what I have seen so far, the majority of the naval rules focus on the ships' specifications and the probabilities of the hit, making this way the games more or less a pure gun duel. I have already very complex systems such as Command at Sea and Seekrieg 4 but also "light" such as Naval Thunder, Victory at Sea and Micronauts somewhere between the two "poles". I need some recommendations if there are some matching to my criterias. Thank you in advance, Vaggelis |

The better rule sets (like General Quarters) simulate C3 issues during night actions, but during the day your subordinates do pretty much what you want, IIRC. My advice is to use an existing rule set, and graft on additional command and control rules to suit your taste. This shouldn't be that hard to do. MH |

Thanks MH. Maybe I will give a try to "fleet action imminent". Is there a pdf version of the rules? |

Yes, FAI is available as a pdf from ODGW. |

GQ3 (and it's WW1 version FAI) are pretty good. More complex than Naval Thunder/VaS, but still manageable. |
