It does look good thus far, the decals look like the new Hammers Slammers ones from Ainsty castings.

not totally convinced about the skirts… Not in your painting, but more that it's an odd shape for them. Then again it's not finished, and besides, If I wanted my own I could probably build without them…

I just want one in 28mm

I think you can find decals like that on Hobbylink Japan's site, too. I have a bunch of decal sheets I ordered from them and there are some things in there that are similar.

I agree BigNickR. From the design stages I had an issue with the skirts. They should run the length of the hull for starters. I am getting some of these and I'll definitely address the problem then.

@TK421, if you don't want those stubby schurzen, you can send them all to me, and I promise you they'll all get a very good home.evil grin

I want to extend them so that they look like they belong on the vehicle and not borrowed from another. I'm well aware that you would find them a good home if I chose not to use them. I'll keep that in mind.

It was a side affect of side skirts that could fit over a number of motive systems, including legs, a-grav, tracks, and wheels.

And which didn't get me accused of creating a Rhino rip-off. ;)

Best,
JBR

Because you are a former Marine, John, the M113 has been imprinted upon your DNA, as this happens to all veterans of land based armed forces services in the Western world. The thing's like a tracked cockroach. You can't swing a dead BTR 80 without hitting one of the silly things…evil grin

We never used the M113 in the Corps but I get your meaning. I'm mesmerized by tracked vehicles more than gravs or blowers. JBR, how about a sci fi AAV 7?

BlackWidowPilot Fezian26 Apr 2014 10:14 p.m. PST

Decals are clearly from HobbyLink Japan:

Quality product from HLJ, no question about it! I've used a number of their decal sheets as well; you'll find them under sci fi, subcategory decals using the HLJ search refinement menu located on the left sidebar.

Oh, Im the offspring of a former Marine who gave 35 years of postwar service to the Navy as a civilian specialist, TK, so I actually do know that the Marines rode in Amtracks rather than ACAVs, etc. I'll second your motion for an Amtrack AAV 7 analogue, as LNG as it comes with a grav option.evil grin

Old Crow has something akin to the AAV 7 but I would really like to see something closer to it.
