omg. I would have thought that he would have been hiding in a cave rather than still keeping a hyigh profile. Hmmmm... I wonder if New Wave was a type S corporation or a sole proprietorship. Did New Wave officially declare bankruptcy? I guess people who he owes money to have a contact email again!! MAN...I love this website. It warms my "mistletoe" to think that a guy who tries to rip-off my fellow gamers is located...then...the people who he owes money to have such an excellent newtork that they come looking for him!!! :-) kewl. this made my day. |

Don't kill me for it, but I've had dealings with Dakkon0_0 on e-bay & he never cheated me. Don't know much about that whole New Wave business. |

Hate to say it cloudcaptain, but there have been at least 2 threads I have found here that have already identified dakkon0_0 as New Wave on eBay. And it was some time ago. This isn't really news. Also hate to say it but I've dealt w/ New Wave on the internet and dakkon0_0 on eBay and all has gone well every time. I'm not doubting those of you who have been cheated, just adding to the cumulative karma. |

@ delljohnb: What's this about New Wave possibly declaring bankruptcy? I just directed a friend to look there for some miniatures (LOOK but definitely don't BUY!! I told him...), and the website was just updated as recently as Dec.16th. They 'seem' to be still "operating" at any rate. |

I actually have been cheated by His Ebay site as well as his New wave. I think it;s a shame that people still buy from him, whether it's New Wave, Dakkon, or CMON. When he has been notorious for ripping people off. I guess it doesn't matter unless it happens to you. |

Dakkon is a great ebay seller...I hate that people have had problems with new wave. If New Wave would have just treated people right they would be the biggest mailorder company and rolling in money. |
Flashman14 | 22 Dec 2004 5:23 a.m. PST |
The cause of many of New Waves problems is they list stuff they don't have on hand. So when you order something - they have order it from the vendor. Now on Ebay they are selling what they really have in stock so there are rarely issues there. CMON is operated totally independently btw and I've had great service there. |
altfritz | 22 Dec 2004 5:50 a.m. PST |
I also have had good service via the CMON store and this eBay personna. I also had limited experience with New Wave, had one mixed up order but settled to my satisfaction. |

@ cloudcaptain: Thanks for the heads-up. I hadn't seen the earlier posts connecting dakkon with New Wave, and I've been watching several of dakkon's auctions with intent to buy. Now I won't. Even if he does honest business on ebay, I don't want my money going to somebody that has cheated so many people (fellow gamers, especially!) elsewhere. |

hello this is a VERY important note concerning David Doust.Ever heard any comments or complaints from artists /sculptors concerning Dark Age or New Wave? plz provide links if possible |

Dark Age and New Wave are not connected AFAIK. |
Warlok | 22 Dec 2004 8:26 a.m. PST |
They are connected. Dave Doust owns NewWave and he is a big investor in Dark Age. In fact when Dark Age started up the employees were actually receiving their paychecks from Dave and not the company. Which is another reason why some of those folks don't work there anymore: rubber checks can't be cashed. |

I've bought 20+ auctions from him on ebay, no problems. He's decent on ebay, check his 2200+ feedback. Probably selling what's in stock and you can beat him up on ebay if you get the shaft, but for whatever reason he's fine there. OTOH, I've been hosed by New Wave so I no longer purchase from them. |
Hyun of WeeToySoldiers | 22 Dec 2004 10:02 a.m. PST |
I actually purchased from him on eBay BEFORE I realized that he was of New Wave infamy. However, as others have noted, my transaction was fine - for two VOID and one Fenryll blisters. |

I too have not had an issue with my eBay purchases from Dakkon Doust. |

Cloudcaptain meet Warlok, Warlok meet Cloudcaptain. I suspect that was unnecessary. |

Sorry if I missed out on this being posted earlier guys. Since I live near Alpharetta, Ga. I can't help but feel a little responsible. I was on Ebay last night tracking down Void stuff. Saw the new Koralons and said "Woohoo! US source!". Then my spidey sense went off and I looked at the town they were from. It was 5am and I almost bid. @Artemis I don't follow...but that may be in light to the fact I stayed up until 5am as mentioned previously. |

I had a full night's sleep and I don't understand his post either. |

I was under the impression that New Wave had declaired bankruptcy and ceased operating under the original business license where many TMP'ers had been stiffed for substantial amounts of money. I believe that one member is out something like $600.00. Am I incorrect? If so, I appologize for any misunderstanding. What's the scoop here? |
