I've just finished Langton Miniatures' model of a 6 gun schooner with a pivot gun, and wanted to share pictures. This is the smallest vessel I've done so far that was not a gunboat – it's pretty diminutive! On the Great Lakes this one might have to be taken seriously, but on the open ocean I think it's going to be doing more running than standing and fighting.

More pictures at the link below – hope you like it!

Here's a shot for size comparison: behind the Langton Schooner is GHQ's 8 gun schooner, and behind that is the 32 gun el Gamo

Another gorgeous endeavor James. You just get better and better. I was surprised the GHQ 8 gun is so much larger than Rod's 6 gun. His ships always seem to run a bit larger than GHQ, I would have expected it to be close to the same size.

Indeed, well done!

Thanks very much guys.

Vol, I too was surprised to find the Langton schooner smaller. The Great Lakes series 10 gun schooner is the same size as the 6 with pivot – go figure! I'll have a few of these little guys running around, picking on gunboats.

Impressive as always. Beautiful workmanship right down to the bases!

Very nice…..I've been contemplating getting back to my 1/1200 ships, but I'd never be albe to reach this quality. Nice job.

Ah! James,
May your knee caps drop off and your bits turn green. I just hate you and your ships!
Be safe
