Campaign kickoff at Cold Wars I have been asked to open p the Campaign to others and extend the time limit for the first phase of the Campaign. So far we have a couple US clubs, a club in Great Britain and a club in Estonia that have singed up for the M&T French and Indian War Campaign. It is not to late to get in a few games of M&T and help out the French snatch victory from an impending defeat, or help the British secure their victory before I close out the first set of scenarios representing 1754 of the campaign. If you want to keep track of the results check my blog tomahawkcampaign.blogspot.com The blog is where I will update the campaign map with the results as they are sent to me. British are leading the campaign with 35 victory points to the French 30 points. My plan is to wrap up 1754 and the Ohio Valley Campaign by the end of June so that gives you plenty of time to get in a few games and help out your favorite antagonist. Only requirement is to play three 200 point M&T games against an opponent following the campaign rules which I will send them to you if you let me know you are interested. If you send me the results I will add them to the Campaign Game results. The next phase of the World Wide campaign will cover 1755 and the Wilderness Campaign. I will have those rules complete shortly. But you don't want to start with phase II, start in the Ohio River Valley and earn some promotion points and traits for your Junior leader before he has to start commanding larger formations. |

We are having a big M&T day on Sunday 22nd June and hope to have 7 players complete their 3 games in one day! |

That's excellent Truscott. I will post an update this week so you will know the overall situation prior to your event. With seven players your results could have an impact on the situation at the close of 1754. Rules for 1755 have been play tested and will be published shortly. |

I've updated the world wide Muskets and Tomahawk Campaign situation. 1754 is rapidly coming to a close (June 30th). Only a few more weeks available to get your results in. tomahawkcampaign.blogspot.com I will post the rules and scenarios for the next phase of the campaign in a few weeks. The next phase is 1755, "Battle for the Wilderness" and the scenarios and rules will reflect the types of engagements that occurred historically during the French and Indian War during 1755. So you can expect Ambushes, Expeditions and some hasty defenses/ rear guard actions. |

I've updated the World-wide M&T results. As of 27 June the French now seem to be running away with the results for 1754. You can see the update here on the Campaign Blog. tomahawkcampaign.blogspot.com 1755 will be staring up in a few Days. I will run 1755 from 1 July through the end of August. If you are interested in getting a copy of the Campaign rules and the scenarios for 1755 then send me a PM. 1755 is the "Battle for the Wilderness". I've developed five new objectives for M&T all of which do not include man made structures. These five new objectives characterize the fighting that went on during 1755. They are: - Ambush - Expedition - Pursuit - Rear Guard - Hasty Defense It's not to late to join in on the Campaign. Only 50% of the officers survived 1754, so you are not at much of a disadvantage if you get in on the action now. Grab some friends. Only requirement is for you to play 3 games using the 1755 rules between now and the end of August. Then send the results into me for inclusion into the Campaign results. 1755 is worth 10 Campaign Points and the British could use your help. |

I designed the Over Mountain Men with M&T in mind. With the variety of heads, you can really make some unique looking figures for the F&I War. Trappers, Couer De Bois, Militia, Settlers and various other forces. Heads include Toques, Knit hats, Scarves and Bandanas, Scots Bonnets and Berets, Coonskin and animal fur hats and so much more. kingsmtminis.com/catalog For those of you that have never seen the figures, check out the website. They match Redoubt and Galloping Major quite well, size wise. |

Unfortunately our 1755 games day has had to postponed from this weekend until 17th August, but on the bright side that means the British scalps will have 3 weeks more length on them………and also time to finish the wagons for the first scenario |

We have 8 people who have contacted me and let me know they are either borrowing one of my forces or are bringing their own. So far we have 3 French players, 3 British players and 2 playing Indian pure forces. I will have the scenarios for 1756 complete by next weekend and will post them on the Campaign Blog site. But in general we are looking at the following by round: Round 1: scout objective vs scout objective Round 2: expedition vs ambush (same scenario as what we used for 1755) Round 3: Hold the fort ( a new scenario) |

We are continuing our World Wide M&T Campaign at Fall In this year. The Campaign Year is 1756 and it is certainly not to late to join us. We will be in the tournament hall. Round 1 starts at 6PM. Spare armies are available. BACKGROUND for 1756: On May 18, 1756, England formally declared war on France. Prior to that declaration France made plans to send French Regulars to reinforce their campaigns in North America but the French acted during the winter of 1756 before those reinforcements arrived. Scouts had reported the weakness of the British supply chain and multiple attacks were ordered against British supply stores and the outposts that protected them. These attacks set back any British hopes for campaigns on Lake Ontario, and endangered the Oswego garrison, already short on supplies. We see in 1756 the continued importance of scouting and knowing what your enemy is about. The importance of scouting for the commander led to significant successes for the French and equally dismal failures for the British. The Battles for the Lakes will need good scouting results to shape the future of 1756. Likewise the importance of strategic supply and resupply was critical to the success of the British being able to hold their frontier forts and conduct operations. Finally, the chains of frontier forts themselves were the actual center of gravity for both commanders. Key to the British was to hold their forts in the region and key for the French to show their ability to take these forts. To reflect the nature of the conflict during 1756 the following mission objectives are created and the following tournament guidelines are provided to fight the battle of the Lakes 1756 Campaign. Round 1: Scouting vs scouting (set up per the instructions in the M&T rule book except there are no buildings placed during 1756) Round 2: Expedition vs Ambush (The French or British side that collectively won the Round 1 scenarios is the Ambushing force in round 2) Round 3: Raid vs Fort Defense (If one side won both round 1 and round 2 all players of that side have the raid objective. If neither side won both round one and round 2 then the French are the raiding force and the British must defend.) Force Construction: Force point totals for 1756 are to be between 250 and 260. Some mission objectives will require the addition of civilian baggage tenders for the expeditionary objective. These mission provided forces do not count against the force point total and are in addition to the list the expeditionary player developed for the game. Sub-plots: For each round, each side rolls a D6 to determine which sub-plot they have from the list below. 1- Oath #13 2- Hateful Heart #14 3- Deciphering #43 4- My Precious #46 5- Boldness #52 6- Authority #53 |
